This piece is all played on the D string, using the notes D, E and Fis (F#).
Listen to the video below and follow along with the notes. Keep it steady and point at each note as it’s played.
Take note of the rests! Each time you see a rest, say “ssh”. We don’t play, pluck or make sounds in a rest.
Once you’ve done this a couple of times, sing the notes along with the tune. The goal is to drill the tune into your memory, which will make playing it much easier.
Remember – listen first, then play! Use your bow on this one.
